No one was able to match all the numbers from Friday’s Eurojacpot draw. This increases the top prize to approx. 484 million NOK before Tuesday’s draw, reports the Norsk tip. Second prize was split between a player from Sweden and a Slovenian, who each won over NOK 9.6 million.
But a 30-year-old from Tromsø also came out of the draw well. It was drawn as the NOK 1 million additional national prize winner.
Tip Norsk was unable to contact the man on Friday evening, but he answered the phone on Sunday.
The 30-year-old was in a car with his family on his way home to his mother on Friday evening. At first he thought that Hamar’s calls must have come from a telemarketer.
When it turned out to be from Norsk Tipping, it struck him:
– Damn, now I’ve won…
Norsk Tip says so in a press release Sunday.
Then went into the Norsk Tipping app and confirmed it. The recent Eurojackpot millionaire was in a good mood when Norsk Tipping spoke to him on Sunday, happily explaining what it feels like to suddenly win NOK 1 million.
– It’s incredibly funny, but it probably didn’t work for me, chuckles the drummer from Tromsøværing and goes on to say:
– I sat next to the old lady, gave her my cell phone and went to get myself a beer. “Are you joking?” she exclaimed.
The man already had his plans ready.
– Now I finally have the bike I’ve been wanting, after prioritizing the kids and home for the past few years. Then there will also be the mortgage payments.
When asked if the new millionaire status was a secret, he laughs:
– I couldn’t keep my mouth shut about it. I was a little old and told the vast majority of the people closest to me, and then my mom had to tell all of her friends.
– People understand that it is a sum that goes to help me and the family, says the 30-year-old.
