Norwegian slump in Holmenkollen: Lanisek won after a monster jump

OUT OF THE PODIUM: Forfang was in a good position, but was unable to follow up in the final round.

Johann André Forfang was in second place after the first round, but with a weak last jump the Norwegian ended up outside the podium.

Because with a jump of 121.5 meters in the final round, the 27-year-old finished in 10th place. Halvor Egner Granerud, who has occasionally dominated this season, finished in fourth place.

The victory went to Slovenian Anze Lanisek, who almost “conquered” the ground with a final jump of 139.5 metres. Austrian Stefan Kraft, who led after the first lap, finished second. While German Karl Geiger took third place in the Norwegian national facility.

Marius Lindvik finished in 15th place after a soar of 125.5 meters in the final round. Sondre Ringen already landed after 109 meters in the final and was number 25.

Six out of seven Norwegian men advanced to Saturday’s competition in Oslo. Granerud was the best of the Norwegians in 5th place in the qualification on Friday.

No Norwegian male jumper has ever gone to the top in Raw Air. In total, the men will go through twelve competitions.
