Ingrid Alexandra (19) in leger
Norwegian princess and future queen Ingrid Alexandra (19) has started her army training. She will be part of the Engineer Battalion in Øverbygd in northern Norway for a year. During the first lesson, she learned how to dismantle and reassemble a gun.
King Harald’s granddaughter will not receive preferential treatment, the battalion commander emphasizes. “She will have to scrub the floor, clean her room herself and attend all the classes. We have the same expectations of her as we do of other soldiers.” Because the Norwegian royals do not have an official surname, the princess will be addressed as ‘recruit Alexandra’.

Spain’s Queen Letizia (51) visited a primary school in León in the northwest of the country to present them with an award for their environmental projects. She opted for formal styling.
King Felipe’s wife wore a milk-colored wool coat — purchase price: 205 euros — from the brand & Other Stories, part of the Swedish fashion chain H&M. She found her gray trousers at the Spanish label Massimo Dutti for 135 euros.

Charlene supports cancer campaign
Princess Charlene (45) of Monaco has become honorary president of Pink Ribbon in the principality. This charity campaigns against breast cancer and is known for its pink ribbons.
Prince Albert’s wife has been supporting projects related to health and sports for some time. She leads, among other things, the Princess Charlene Foundation named after her, with which she wants to teach as many people as possible – especially children – to swim in order to minimize the risk of drowning. Charlene was an Olympic swimmer from South Africa in a previous life.
“Princess Charlene’s commitment to the goals of her foundation fits seamlessly with our values surrounding health issues,” says Pink Ribbon Monaco. “It makes her an ideal advocate for women’s health.”

Surprise about Anne’s resignation
British Princess Anne (73) boards a plane in London to Sri Lanka. It is in itself a not surprising photo that was published on the social media of Sri Lankan Airlines. Yet the image is widely commented on online.

Why? Because the princess carries her own hand luggage. Royals usually have staff to carry their suitcases. Many see it as confirmation of Anne’s sobriety. The only daughter of the late Queen Elizabeth and sister of King Charles, she enjoys the reputation of being the hardest-working British royal. On a work trip to Sri Lanka, she celebrated 75 years of diplomatic relations with the United Kingdom.
Victoria on the skis
Swedish Crown Princess Victoria (46) attended an army conference in Sälen. The town in western Sweden, near the border with Norway, is also a well-known winter railway resort. Victoria took the opportunity to go cross-country skiing in her spare time. It produced nice pictures.
