Norwegian media authority finds TV 2 broke law in cross-country broadcast – NRK Sport – Sports news, results & broadcast schedule

Argentina’s World Cup heroes return to Buenos Aires: welcomed by the crowd

Shortly before half past seven Norwegian time, half past three in the morning Argentina time, the plane carrying the Argentine World Cup team landed in the capital Buenos Aires.

Half an hour later they got off the plane and walked onto the red carpet that had been set up at the Ezeiza airport, where several people had gathered and there was a band present.

With Lionel Messi, World Cup trophy in hand, and coach Lionel Scaloni in the lead, the players and coaches boarded the bus that would take them to the Argentine Football Federation gymnasium, where they will sleep before the big party between a few hours.

Both at the training facility and en route, thousands of Argentines had gathered, wanting a glimpse of the World Cup heroes from the bus, where several players were standing on the open second floor.

The journey from the airport to the training facility is only four or five kilometers, but in the huge crowds it turned into a parade. The bus left the airport around seven o’clock Norwegian time and arrived at the training facility just 75 minutes later. There they were greeted with fireworks.

Players will be celebrated on the streets of Buenos Aires on Tuesday, with an even bigger bus parade downtown. In recent days, a large crowd has gathered at the well-known obelisk of the city, where the procession will also visit. According to Clarín, the bus parade is expected to last eight to nine hours.

Thousands of people have already gathered at the obelisk, awaiting the parade.

The Argentine national team was also given the opportunity to celebrate their World Cup gold from the balcony of the Casa Rosada, built for the president, but it is unclear whether there will be a commemoration there.

It is the third time that Argentina has won the men’s World Cup. They also won in 1978 and 1986.
