The Swedish Elsäkerhetsverket believes that the charger of the Norwegian Easee has “serious faults and deficiencies”.
The Swedish supervisory authority’s assessment is that “the product does not meet the basic safety requirements to be sold on the market”. They have therefore sent the Norwegian manufacturer a notice that they are considering a marketing ban for the Easee Home, Charge and Ready models, which all have the same construction.
Due to EU rules, a trading ban could also have consequences here at home. Easee has been given until 13 February to comment on the errors and omissions alleged by the Norwegian Electricity Authority.
