“Norwegian Comedian Viggo Venn Advances to Final of Britain’s Got Talent”

– I can’t believe it, Viggo Venn exclaimed when he went on in the British talent competition on Tuesday.

When Viggo Venn had his first audition, judge Simon Cowell said the feature was one of the dumbest things he’d seen.

But the other judges voted the Kongsberg man on, and on Tuesday evening Viggo Venn was sent all the way to the final.

The Norwegian comedian is from Kongsberg, but lives in London. Cowell was the only one who pressed the no button when Viggo Venn went on from the first audition in the British talent show a few weeks ago.

On Tuesday, Viggo Venn received a standing ovation from the judges and the audience. The whole hall waved yellow reflective vests – similar to the one Viggo Venn wore during the performance.

– I can’t believe it, exclaimed the comedian when it was clear that he went through to the final of Britain’s Got Talent.

On YouTube, he calls himself “clown, comedian and Norwegian”.

Laagendalsposten has previously written about how, nine years ago, he dropped out of his economics studies to go to the clown school Ecole Philippe Gaulier outside Paris.

– Clowning may be an unusual profession, but we are like good French wine, we only get better and better with age, he told the newspaper.
