A Norwegian citizen is suspected of killing his Polish girlfriend and kidnapping their common daughter. In Denmark, the police managed to stop a car and the girl is safe.
Polish police came out on Saturday evening with a request for a missing girl, a so-called “child alert”.
The girl’s mother was found dead at 5pm on Saturday evening, Krakow police spokesman Sebstain Glen confirmed to the VG. Her boyfriend, a Norwegian citizen, is suspected of the murder and kidnapping her daughter.
Now, however, she was found safe and sound in Denmark, because the car was stopped by the Danish police, the Polish police tweeted around a quarter past eleven.
Glen from Krakow police says he alerted police in other countries because the suspect had a car.
– The man had a car, so we warned other countries, including Norway, because he left, says Glen.
On Twitter, the Polish police thanks you for your cooperation.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is investigating the matter
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs became aware of the case through the media, press secretary Mathias Rongved told VG.
– The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is now investigating the matter, he says further.
