Must have shown support

Khan, who now leads the opposition, was ousted following a vote of no confidence in the National Assembly in April last year. He claims the impeachment was illegal and has fought to speed up the election. The government of Shahbaz Sharif has rejected this and says the election will be held later this year, as planned.

Roughly twenty people have been arrested for breaking a ban on holding a public meeting and showing support for the ex-prime minister, the police in Lahore say.
