The tour had already started, but then came Corona. But now a-ha are starting again.

Hanover – The Norwegian band a-ha is back in Germany: After a forced break due to corona, the trio started their “play hunting high and low live 2022” tour in Hanover on Monday evening.

With a total of six concerts in Germany, the three Norwegians are celebrating their 1985 debut album “Hunting High and Low”. Several of the ten tracks on the album stormed the charts.

“Take on me”, for example, became a worldwide hit – also thanks to the innovative music video in which singer Morten Harket comes to life as a cartoon character. The tour had already started in Mannheim at the end of 2019, but had to be interrupted for a long time due to the pandemic.

Posters from a-ha adorned the walls of many young people’s rooms more than 30 years ago. Singer Morten Harket (62), keyboarder Magne Furuholmen (59) and guitarist Pål Waaktaar-Savoy (60) not only reminisce about their early days, when girls in many countries adored them. They also play newer songs at their German concerts.

More are planned concerts in Frankfurt/Main (9 May), Berlin (11 May), Hamburg (12 May), Leipzig (14 May) and Cologne (15 May). According to the official a-ha website, Leipzig is already sold out. In addition, the three Norwegians will be giving concerts in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Norway and Great Britain this spring. At the end of June we are going to Portugal and Spain.
