Norwegian Athlete Jakob Ingebrigsten’s World Cup Defeat Repeated in Hungarian Competition

Ingebrigsten suffered the same fate that he experienced in the World Cup in Eugene last year, when he was a candidate and lost to Britain, Jake Whitman, who was also absent from the Hungarian competition due to injury.

Kerr, the bronze holder of the Tokyo Olympics 2021, achieved when the Norwegian won gold, with a time of 3:29.38 minutes, while Ingebrigsten scored 3:29.65 d.

The bronze medal went to another Norwegian, Narvi Nordas (3:29.68 d).

After his victory, Kerr told the BBC: “It’s a very emotional experience. I’m very proud of myself, very proud of my team and my family.”

“I have ventured the last 16 years into this sport in the last 200 metres, and I never gave up until the end,” he added.
