Leader Inge Alexander Gjestvang in the association Fri writes on Facebook that he is now stepping down as leader of the organization after a conflict that has characterized the organisation.
– The recent conflict has drawn attention away from what Fri is for, namely our common fight for the right to be who you are and love who you want. Therefore, I have come to the conclusion that it is best both for the organization and for me that Fri now gets a new manager, writes Gjestvang on his own Facebook-side.
He adds that it has been difficult for him personally. There has been unrest in Norway’s largest queer organization for a long time, and a total of five central board members, including two vice-chairmen, chose to resign on 26 September, writes Glance.
