– Norway and Sweden have a close and trusting relationship. I want to further strengthen cooperation, especially in security and defense and green change, says Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.
Støre is visiting Stockholm on Tuesday, and will discuss with Andersson the war in Ukraine, strengthened Nordic defense co-operation, green change and experiences from the pandemic.
– Nordic co-operation is characterized by high trust, a strong community of values, well-functioning institutions and solid co-operation traditions. We have again seen the benefit of this in connection with the war in Ukraine. This is something we will fence in and strengthen, says Støre.
– Must protect the national legal order
Norway and Sweden have a long tradition of partners, and during the year the presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers and the two prime ministers will discuss how it can be further developed.
