Norway handed over to Denmark two F-16 fighters intended for training Ukrainian pilots.

Details: The landing of Norwegian F-16s in Denmark “was an important step in our ongoing support for Ukraine,” the statement said.
“After more than 40 years of operation, these aircraft will train Ukrainian military personnel, reinforcing our commitment to the defense of Ukraine,” the Norwegian Armed Forces added.
Background:
- This week Norway announced that will send two F-16 fighters to Denmark to train Ukrainian pilots in their use, and confirmed sending 10 instructors to Denmark to assist with training.
- Belgium also will send two two-seat F-16 fighters and about fifty people to Denmark between March and September to train Ukrainian pilots.
- Ukrainian pilots are or will be trained in the USA, Romania, Denmark, France and the UK. In the last six Ukrainians before Christmas completed basic trainingincluding learning English.
