News came on Thursday that Klæbo will compete in the classic-style sprint race in Ruka.
– It’ll be fun, that, and good to see that he’s okay. He looked fit on the last hill in training, so it will probably be counted on him tomorrow (Friday), Even Northug tells NTB.
– Are you still a slight favorite even if Klæbo starts?
– When Johannes Klæbo chooses to compete in a classic sprint, he is the favourite. He’s won almost everything in the last few years, so he can take it. He is the favourite, yes, but he will fight, says Northug.
He won sprint races in both Muonio and Beitostølen earlier this season.
