Riot Games in collaboration with 00NATION, Inferno Online and Xbox PC Game Pass invites Norwegians to a major showdown in Valorant between Norway and Sweden this coming weekend.

According to today’s press release, the Norwegian team lost: “after three exciting days and 82 games played, in the end it was the Swedes who ran away with the most victories and won the entire “Northern Showdown”. There have been both amateur and professional players who have taken part in the challenge, including Jonas Lihaug, Knut Spildrejorde, Lucas “Mendo” Håkansson and Annie Fuschia.”
We may have taken a little too much confidence with us when we took the lead after the first day, so unfortunately the Swedes pulled away from us on the second day. But we have worked really hard today, and have been even with the Swedes all day. I am very proud of all the Norwegian players who have participated and fought for Norway, and we can anyway buy all of Sweden if we want, she says, and adds that she hopes for revenge in the future.

The event is called “Northern Showdown,” and as stated in the press release, “it is being done in connection with the launch of the new Norwegian agent Deadlock in the popular tactical shooter Valorant. The two nations will battle each other in the game, and gaming enthusiasts are invited to represent their agent as well as their country, both digitally and in person.”

Riot explains to us that you sign up the event’s Discord server and that it was all streamed on the Twitch channels of each nation’s team captain. In Norway the team captain is streamer “Ailincia”, while in Sweden it is “Peak” who is the boss.
A physical event is also held at 00NATION’s headquarters in Oslo and at Inferno Online’s Red Bull Gaming Sphere in Stockholm. The doors open there at 14:00.
The Norwegians are baiters, they get everything served on a silver platter while everyone else around them works for victory, just like in real life.
