Northern Macedonia Will Not Surprise Portugal

Cristiano Ronaldo welcome the fight against Northern Macedonia with high self-confidence. Ronaldo believes Portugal can stop North Macedonia’s surprise.

Laga Portugal vs North Macedonia in the final 2022 World Cup play-offs will be held at the Estadio Do Dragao, Wednesday (30/3/2022) early morning WIB. The winner of this match will qualify for Qatar.

North Macedonia stepped into the play-off final after eliminating Italy. They won 1-0 over the European champions.

That wasn’t the only surprising result that North Macedonia had during qualifying 2022 World Cup. They also won at home to Germany in the group stage in April 2021 with a score of 2-1.

Cristiano Ronaldo confident Portugal will not be surprised by North Macedonia. The Manchester United star believes Portugal will qualify for the 2022 World Cup.

“They have surprised (opponents) in many games, but I believe that tomorrow they will not surprise us,” Ronaldo said as reported by ESPN.

“Portugal will be better and we will qualify for the World Cup. For us this is also the most important game of our lives,” Ronaldo said.

Portugal has always qualified for the last five World Cups. While the first major tournament for North Macedonia in its 27-year history was the 2020 European Cup.
