BM Stal Ostrów Wielkopolska won the Northern European Basketball League (ENBL). In the final played in their own hall, Andrzej Urban’s team defeated the Lithuanian BC Wolves Olita 70:66 (9:17, 25:15,13:22, 23:12). The third place was taken by Start Lublin.

The hosts of the final tournament even snatched the victory from the Lithuanians, who were winning by 10 points (65:55) in the 36th minute. However, BC Wolves basketball players later had problems with effectiveness, and the players from Ostrow began to systematically make up for losses. Jakub Garbacz and Nemanja Djurisic were right, and Damian Kulig used all free throws in important moments. One and a half minutes before the end, the Steelers led to a draw.
The end was already extremely dramatic, and more than two thousand fans watched the duel standing. Jeffery Taylor used only one free kick, and Aigars Skele responded with a three-pointer and it was 68:66 for the hosts. Taylor had a chance to score, but he missed the free-throw line twice. Two seconds before the end, Garbacz was right in the same situation and the team from Ostrow could enjoy the victory. For the victory, they received a bonus of 10,000 euros. The MVP of the final tournament was Kulig.
Earlier, in the match for the third place, Polski Cukier Start Lublin defeated Kinga Szczecin 86:62.
Thus, Stal repeated the success of Anwil Włocławek, which triumphed a year ago in the premiere edition of this regional competition. Teams participating in ENBL include: from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Israel, the Czech Republic and Kosovo.
