Hamburg – No public training for Thursday, it was announced on the homepage of the Hamburger SV for Thursday. The reason was a secret test against Bundesliga club Holstein Kiel. The guests did not want to make the match public beforehand, and both fan camps are not well disposed towards each other. The Schleswig-Holsteiners won 1-0 thanks to a goal by Harres (57th).
Stadium bans threatened
The supporters of the HSV has just made headlines again. A number of stadium bans are to be imposed soon. The “Abendblatt” newspaper reported on this. The reason for this is an altercation with Borussia Dortmund fans a year ago at the train station in Mannheim. Between 30 and 40 people will also no longer be allowed into the Bundesliga club’s arenas in the future. The German Football Association (DFB) is responsible for stadium bans.
Dynamo Kyiv in the People’s Park
Independently of this, the “Supporters Club” has spoken out. It is about Dynamo Kiev’s home games in the Europa League. HSV is renting the Volksparkstadion to the Ukrainians, as it did last season. Shakhtar DonetskThis means once again ample rental income for the Rothosen.
Criticism from “Supporters“
In the communication of the “Supporters“ it says: “HSV is renting its stadium for the 2024/25 Europa League season to the Ukrainian club Dynamo Kyiv. We, as the head of the HSV Supporters Club, are critical of this in view of our values. We understand that HSV benefits economically from such a deal and we fundamentally support solidarity with people and clubs that suffer from war. But with Dynamo Kyiv, HSV is giving its stadium to a club in whose environment and stands racist and discriminatory behavior repeatedly occurs. Behavior that should never have a place in our stadium. Now you can’t blame an entire club for having such tendencies in its environment. IF the club does something about it! IF the club takes a clear position against it and acts decisively! This is not the case with Dynamo Kyiv. As far as we understand, there is no consistent action against the grievances. If we as HSV take our values seriously”

Phoenix home game against BVB

HSV took home the money – great for the club’s coffers. This was not so well received by the club’s own fans.
