[The Epoch Times, February 02, 2024](Epoch Times reporter Xue Mingzhu Miaobid reported) The Northern California Chinese School Association recently announced that the Northern California Chinese Language Proficiency Test Awards Ceremony will be held at 3 p.m. on February 25 30 minutes, held at Nanwan Overseas Chinese Education Center.
In order to reward students who took the Chinese Language Proficiency Test, the Overseas Chinese Affairs Council issued the national-level “Chinese Language Proficiency Test Score Certificate” and “Chinese Language Proficiency Test Certificate” to students who passed the test.
On November 12 last year, the Education Group of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in San Francisco and the Northern California Chinese School Association jointly held the 2023 San Francisco South Bay Area Chinese Language Proficiency Test.
The test is divided into three levels and six levels. The third level is entry level, advanced level and fluent and proficient level. Each level is further divided into six levels according to test results: entry level, basic level, advanced level, advanced level, fluent level and proficient level. In addition, the children’s Chinese language proficiency test is divided into: embryonic level, growth level, and strong level.
The Northern California Chinese School Association stated that this exam is the first time that a computer is connected in real time to the exam system of Taiwan’s “National Chinese Test Promotion Committee” to conduct oral and writing tests; the number of people taking the exam this time has reached a new high, with the total number of applicants reaching 210 Among them, 204 people took the exam, and the pass rate reached 97%!
In addition, the results of this examination are satisfactory. Among them, students who participated in the children’s test, computer oral test and computer writing all received proficiency test certificates and all passed; in the listening and reading test, 63 candidates participated and 53 successfully passed the level test, with a passing rate of more than 84%. ◇
