The government allows thermal establishments to open on May 19, but the two North Alsatian sites, in Morsbronn-les-Bains and Niederbronn-les-Bains, both managed by Valvital, will only welcome spa guests from May 24.
If the establishments are generally ready, these few days are necessary for the site manager Nadine Krieger to recruit the last employees in Morsbronn. This year, the season will start earlier than last year but still two months behind compared to the reference year 2019.
For the moment, the activity of the establishments will be 65% compared to the reference year of 2019 which had seen nearly 5,000 curists in Morsbronn and 2,500 in Niederbronn. A rate that could change depending on government announcements: sites are ready to accommodate more if they have permission.
