There is respect for the strength of the opponent. “We are facing a team with young, aspiring talents and some older, experienced third division players,” reports TSV coach Volker Behr. According to Großheubach’s coach, it is no coincidence that the Schwaiger team are considered favorites for the championship.
From the guests’ point of view, the personnel conditions could be better, as some regular staff are likely to be missing due to vacation and injuries. “We have to be at our best on Saturday so that we can cause a little surprise in Schwaig,” says Behr, seeing his Großheubachers in the outsider role.
League competitor TV Mömlingen II competes against SG Erlangen (Saturday, 2 p.m.). In the North-West women’s regional league, TV Mömlingen has to assert itself in the chasing duel against TV Fürth II on Saturday (2 p.m.).
As leaders of the Regionalliga Süd-Ost, the men of TV Mömlingen would like to defend the lead they have just achieved in the table in the away match against second-to-last SVS Türkheim. The game will be played on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The TVM men don’t have any good memories of their opponents. Last season, coach Hamed Mandanchi’s formation lost both games against the Türkheimers, who had started poorly.
The volleyball players at TSV Rottenberg are on the rise. “We want to continue on the road to success in the away game at VG Bamberg,” says team spokeswoman Isabell Bergmann before the Bayernliga North match on Sunday (3 p.m.).
