Firefighters were attacked on the night of Wednesday to Thursday, in Seclin, near Lille (North), by a man during an intervention, reports 20minutes. Our colleagues indicate that the facts took place around 10:30 p.m. when the firefighters were called by the relatives of the individual.
The latter – who showed suicidal tendencies – did not answer their calls. A team of firefighters is then sent on site to get in touch with him. Once at his home, the firefighters were greeted by the man who attacked them with a hammer before he locked himself in his home.
Police officers, who were present on the spot, overpowered the man and arrested him and placed him in police custody. Two firefighters, slightly injured, were hospitalized. A complaint will be filed by the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS).
