“Do it at the same time to anticipate the spread of the dengue epidemic,” North Sumatran health service chief Ismail Lubis said in Medan on Wednesday.

The community is also being asked to carry out the 3M movement regularly, which is to drain bathtubs, store used goods, and close water tanks that could become nesting places for dengue mosquitoes.

Because according to him, in a tropical climate, especially when entering the rainy season in this period, the environmental conditions favor the reproduction of mosquitoes.

“In addition, sponsoring the local government has indicated an increase in dengue cases,” he said.

The North Sumatra Health Office noted that the number of dengue cases in the area from January to September 2022 reached 5,270 sufferers.
