A case of Coronavirus covid-19 has been confirmed in a child admitted to the minimum reception service in Roubaix. The Regional Health Agency is carrying out investigations to identify all of the people who may have been in close contact with the patient, says the statement released late Sunday evening.

This pupil having potentially been in contact with pupils accommodated in schools in the city, the mayor of Roubaix decided – as a precaution and on the basis of the opinion of the ARS – the temporary closure of six schools, he continues, adding that a seventh private school has also followed this precautionary measure.

Reopening on May 25

The town hall hopes that this decision will allow the reopening of these schools starting May 25.

Since the start of deconfinement on May 11 and the reopening of schools, many establishments have taken similar precautionary measures after cases or suspicions of Covid-19, as in Charente, Dordogne, Le Mans (Sarthe) or Toulouse (Haute-Garonne).
