The natural or family caregiver is the person who comes to the aid, on a non-professional basis, in part or totally, to a dependent elderly person or a disabled person around them, for the activities of daily living. Since 2014, the GérontoNord health network, headquartered in Thionville, comes to support these carers through regular training and the organization of carer cafés, in Thionville and Fameck, which allow exchanges of experience. And on January 6, the network launched a new support unit called ISA, for Information and Support for Caregivers.
