1. Nuclear test postponed due to Nov. 3 failure?
North Korea conducted a Hwasong-17 ICBM test on Nov. 3.
The result was an altitude of about 2000 km and a flight distance of 750 km. This November 3 experiment is likely to be a failure, judging by the results of March 24 and November 18.
November 3 is between the end of the Chinese party convention (October 22) and the midterm elections in the United States (November 8).
North Korea had completed preparations for a nuclear test and there was a high possibility that it would carry out a nuclear test during this period in order not to interfere with the Chinese party congress and to demonstrate its nuclear deterrence to the United States.
However, no nuclear tests have yet been carried out.
If the Hwasong-17 test was successful on November 3, there was a good chance that a nuclear test would be carried out before the November 8 US midterm elections.
This is because they want to show the United States that they can launch a nuclear-armed ICBM at the United States.
Possibility of linking North Korea’s ICBM launch with nuclear test
