North Korean Little Vlogger Viral Makes South Korea Worried, Here’s His Behavior

A young vlogger from North Korea, Song A made South Korean netizens nervous. The 11-year-old little girl displays her daily life with perfect English skills.

Song A uploaded his first video three months ago, on Tuesday (26/4/2022). In his videos, he always uses English with a British accent.

Song A’s YouTube channel ‘Sary Voline’ has been the talk of the town for the past few days. South Korean netizens suspect that the channel is North Korean propaganda to spread its political ideology by following trends.

North Korean little vlogger shows off his luxurious life

In his first video, Song A introduces himself as a 5th grade elementary school student living in the North Korean capital, Pyongyang. He said that his mother taught him English since childhood.

Song A further said that the audience would be surprised if they visited Pyongyang which was filled with amusement parks.

Until now, the little girl from North Korea has uploaded five videos showing her luxurious life. He recorded a number of facilities such as hospitals, amusement parks, and apartments.

Song A even showed the faces of his grandmother and best friend Song Ryong at school.

North Korea’s little vlogger makes South Korea nervous

According to Kyungnam University professor Lee Woo Young who studies North Korea, the country is developing a propaganda strategy to make it more relevant and interesting by following global trends.

Previously, the North Korean government spread its political ideology through the YouTube channels ‘DPRK Today’ and ‘Red Star TV’. However, both channels have been removed for violating YouTube’s community guidelines.

“Kim Jong Un’s globalization is oriented towards the outside world and new media such as Instagram and YouTube are being actively used,” explained Lee Woo Young as reported by Koreaboo.

South Korean netizens also commented on Song A’s video which seemed made up, considering that North Koreans were isolated.

“There is no happiness, joy in the child’s eyes… This is too much,” one netizen commented.

“It feels crazy that our lives could be so different because of the small point where we were born. We should be grateful that we were born in South Korea,” wrote another netizen.

SBS News also reported the presence of a North Korean vlogger besides Song A. The young woman named Yang Il Sim uses Mandarin in her videos. He talked about universities, elite housing, to handling COVID-19 in North Korea.
