Russian state news agency Ria Robosti reported on the 15th that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, who is visiting Russia, inspected a Russian fighter jet production plant located in Komsomolsk-on-Amur.
According to the news agency, Chairman Kim inspected the Su-35 multipurpose fighter and the new Sukhoi Superjet (SJ)-100 passenger aircraft along with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov at the Yuri Gagarin Factory in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Khabarovsk Province, Russia. I also observed a test flight of the multipurpose fighter Su-35. Deputy Prime Minister Manturov said he believes there is a possibility of cooperation with North Korea in industrial fields, including aircraft production.
The news agency said the North Korean delegation was welcomed by local factory workers and design department engineers demonstrated digital technologies used to create modern aircraft.
Prior to this, media outlets in the Russian Far East reported that Chairman Kim arrived at Komsomolsk-on-Amur train station around 9 a.m. that day and got off a private train along a red carpet.

Khabarovsk Governor Mikhail Dektalyov and Komsomolsk-on-Amur Mayor Aleksandr Zornik welcomed Chairman Kim, and students waiting while waving the North Korean national flag reportedly handed him bread, salt, and flowers to symbolize welcome.
Afterwards, Chairman Kim used the car to head to the Yuri Gagarin aircraft factory. To allow for Chairman Kim’s movement, Komsomolsk-on-Amur authorities reportedly blocked traffic on major roads from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m., causing inconvenience to residents on their way to work.
