Any form of US interference in North Korean satellite operations would be considered a declaration of war. American spy satellites will then be eliminated, says a statement from a spokesperson for North Korea’s Ministry of Defense.
The statement was reproduced by North Korea’s state news agency KCNA on Saturday.
The spokesperson adds that North Korean legislation makes it clear that the country has the right to mobilize deterrent measures if an attack against strategic North Korean assets is imminent.
Last week, North Korea launched its first spy satellite. Its role is to monitor US and South Korean military movements, Pyongyang has stated.
