Kim’s remarks, made during a key ruling party congress this week, are believed to seek to increase pressure on the government of President-elect Joe Biden, who called Kim a “bully” and criticized his summits with him. President Donald Trump.

The “key to establishing new relations (…) with the United States is if the United States withdraws its hostile policy,” Kim was quoted as saying by Korea’s Central News Agency.
The leader pointed out that he will not use his nuclear weapons first unless they threaten him. In addition, he was open to dialogue if Washington is also willing, but stressed that North Korea it must continue to strengthen its military and its nuclear capabilities to meet growing US hostility.
