North Korea has fired a volley of short-range ballistic missiles – World

S North Korea has fired a volley of eight short-range ballistic missiles, world news agencies reported, citing South Korean forces and Japanese government sources.

The rockets were fired at an interval of about 35 minutes, from the Sunan area, near the capital Pyongyang,

in the direction of the sea, along the eastern shores of the country. It is recommended that ships located in the area where the wreckage may have fallen do not approach them. The ballistic missiles are believed to have fallen outside Japan’s exclusive economic zone.

Since the beginning of the year, North Korea has conducted 18 missile tests.

The last was on May 25, when she fired three ballistic missiles, including an intercontinental one.

US Special Representative for North Korea Sun Kim met with his South Korean and Japanese counterparts

Kim Gong and Funakoshi Takehiro in Seoul on Friday to discuss preparations for any contingencies amid signs that North Korea is preparing a nuclear test, the first since 2017.

The new missile test comes a day after the American aircraft carrier “Ronald Reagan”

ended a three-day military exercise with South Korea in the Philippine Sea. This was the first exercise in which the aircraft carrier participated in November 2017.
