He cited “provocative” flights by US spy planes for eight straight days this month and one surveillance plane that intruded into its airspace “multiple times”.
“There is no guarantee that a shocking accident like the downing of a US Air Force strategic reconnaissance aircraft will not occur in the East Korean Sea,” the spokesman said in remarks carried by North Korea’s state media KCNA.
