North Jakarta Metro Police Chief (Jakut) Kombes Gidion Arif Setyawan rebuked the suspect in the case drugs with the initials D. Because D’s son abused members when he was trying to arrest his father in Koja.
“If you are damaged (because of drugs), don’t let your child be damaged too. As a father, your job is to make your child a better person,” said Gidion to suspect D, who was wearing prison clothes at the North Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters, reported by Antara, Wednesday ( 15/2/2023).
It is known that child D with the initials R (16) tried to stab a member of the North Jakarta Police Narcotics Unit, AKP Hasiolan Siahaan. However, R was not featured at the press conference due to his age.
Gidion said the motive for the stabbing was resistance against the police who were trying to arrest his father. D is a drug dealer in North Jakarta with his partner with the initial B from Surabaya, East Java.
AKP Hasiolan himself was injured in the back with a sharp sword-type weapon that is about 10 cm long. Finally, AKP Hasiolan had to undergo treatment at the hospital.
Because of his actions, R, who is still underage, is threatened with criminal sanctions for trying to commit a crime regulated in Article 53 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code. Furthermore, his crime was in the form of persecution which resulted in serious injury, Article 351 of the Criminal Code.
“But once again, we also put forward the philosophy of law enforcement against children dealing with the law (in the SPPA Law),” concluded Gidion.
