North Dakota Highway Patrol Vehicle Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on I-94 – Arrest Made in Fargo

FARGO— A North Dakota Highway Patrol vehicle was struck by a driver near the tri-level on Interstate 94 Tuesday evening, October 24.

The driver involved in the crash drove away from the area. However, a man was later arrested at a house in Fargo in connection to the crash.

The trooper was investigating an unrelated crash on the interstate at approximately 8 p.m. when the car side swiped their patrol vehicle, according to North Dakota Highway Patrol.

A woman involved in the initial crash was inside the patrol vehicle when it was hit. She was not hurt.

The trooper was also not hurt and recorded a vehicle description and license plate number for the vehicle that struck the patrol vehicle.

Fargo police then used the license plate and found the suspect vehicle at a home in Fargo.

Timothy Rosendahl, 69, from Fargo was arrested for DUI and leaving the scene of a crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
