The North Bay Battalion bounced back with a 3-1 victory over the Barrie Colts after losing 4-2 in Game 6. The crazy series saw both teams playing unbelievable hockey, and interestingly, every team that scored first lost the game. North Bay’s head coach, Ryan Oulahen, expressed his confidence in his team and praised the big boys who stepped up in the third period. Josh Bloom hailed their fans as the best in the league and rejoiced in the special night. Barrie scored first late in the opening frame, but North Bay tied the game with a powerplay goal from Kyle Jackson and took the lead with another powerplay goal from Kyle McDonald. They then secured their win with an empty net goal from Owen Van Steensel. North Bay will face the Peterborough Petes in the Eastern Conference Finals, holding home ice advantage. The game will be live on the Frontline YouTube Channel on Friday at 6:50 p.m.
