North Atlantic Weather Forecast: Rain, Floods, and Unseasonal Warmth in Charente-Maritime

Currently, a “beautiful” depression is present in the North Atlantic and with it, multiple families of disturbances. Rains therefore come in turn to sweep the region in a rapid westerly flow. Orange vigilance is maintained in Charente-Maritime for these various rivers in flood.

On Monday, while the south will benefit from nice clearings which will tend to move towards the Gironde during the day, the north of the region will still be under very cloudy skies with still small showers.

Further deterioration will reach the north of the region from the west in the evening with more continuous rain.

For now the vigilance orange is maintained in Charente Maritime for the floods of the Boutonne, the Charente downstream and the Sèvre Niortaise, also downstream.

Throughout the day, temperatures will be well above seasonal norms. Already, at daybreak, it will be 10 to 16°C and in the afternoon, the mildness will be exceptional since it will be 20 to 24°C over a large southern part and 16 to 19°C over the north of the region.

Tuesday, we will find gloomy weather; it is only in the Basque Country and Béarn where we will find rays of sunshine.

On Wednesday, it will not rain but the clearings will still tend to be more beautiful and more present in the south.

After yet another disrupted passage between Wednesday evening and Thursday, the lull will be confirmed for the weekend but also the drop in the mercury.
