The suspect “was indicted on the count of intentional homicide and placed in pre-trial detention,” said Soizic Guillaume, deputy prosecutor of Rouen. “The facts were recognized in custody” by the suspect, said the magistrate.
The alleged murderer, who was drunk at the time of the facts, is the tenant of the premises where the tragedy took place, according to a police source.
The police intervened Tuesday around 6.30 p.m. on the scene at the request of the firefighters for an injured man. The 44-year-old victim died when investigators arrived, according to the same source.
