The decision to change the name was recently made at the general meeting. The 1859 Rockenhausen beekeeping association has existed for a little over 163 years. In the 164th year after its founding, the members have now decided to change the name with a large majority, the association’s management announced. “Our association is making it clear that beekeepers from all over the region are now members,” said the association, whose headquarters have been in Obermoschel for a number of years.
During the regular election, Ralf Janotta from Obermoschel was confirmed in office as chairman. Thomas Schultz (Finkenbach-Gersweiler) was elected as the second chairman, Fiona Rudolph-Crowther from Stahlberg as secretary and Kai Gerhard from Würzweiler as treasurer.
