Nordex Group receives orders for 500 MW from Canada

Hamburg, October 8, 2024. At the end of September, the Nordex Group received orders from Canada for 74 N163 turbines with a total of 500 MW. The orders also include the premium service for maintaining the systems for between 15 and 30 years.
The Nordex Group will deliver the turbines in the cold climate version between 2025 and 2026. To ensure high availability of the systems on site in the demanding winter months, the turbines are also equipped with the Nordex Advanced anti-icing system for rotor blades.
Patxi Landa, Chief Sales Officer of the Nordex Group: “The projects are very important for our plans and activities in Canada. We deliver the turbines with our proven Advanced Anti-Icing System for rotor blades and in the cold climate version. Both are crucial options for increased yield of the systems in cold seasons that we have been using in Northern Europe for years. Canadian customers are now also benefiting from this wealth of experience and our proven technology.
To date, the Nordex Group has sold turbines with an output of approximately 1.2 GW to various customers in Canada.
