Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki reacted to the statement of Russian President Vladimir Putin on the condition for increasing gas supplies to Europe. According to him, by this the Russian leader confirmed that Nord Stream 2 is an element of blackmail on the part of Moscow.

According to the newspaper, during the conference at the opening of a new section of the A-1 highway, Moravetsky was asked about Putin’s statement about Russia’s readiness to increase gas supplies to Europe after the launch of Nord Stream-2.
“In his own words, the Russian president only confirms that this (Nord Stream 2 – ed.) Is an element of blackmailing Russia,” the Polish prime minister replied.
Morawiecki stressed that Europe must respond to such blackmail from Russia by expanding its gas and energy infrastructure.
