The Russian vessel Akademik Chersky was redirected to German waters to lay 2.6 km of pipes for the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline. This was reported by Nord Stream 2 AG on Monday, July 19, writes TASS.

“The pipe-laying vessel Akademik Chersky will lay a 2.6 km section of the second line of the pipeline in the exclusive economic zone of Germany. All work is carried out in accordance with the permits received,” the statement says.
The construction permit for this part of the gas pipeline is valid from July 17 to August 15.
Nord Stream 2 AG believes that Nord Stream 2 will be completed until the end of summer.
