“Both the construction and operation of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline have been approved by the competent authorities,” TASS quotes a representative of the ministry.
According to him, among the competent authorities that approved the construction of the gas pipeline are the Federal Office for Shipping and Hydrography in Hamburg and the Mining Office in Stralsund.
The ministry noted that the first string of Nord Stream 2 is already ready, and the construction of the second one is underway. At the same time, for the remaining work and putting the gas pipeline into operation, it will not be necessary to issue new permits from the above-mentioned departments.
“And yet, the launch will follow only after recognized experts confirm that the construction of the pipeline met the standards,” the regional ministry stressed.
The publication notes that it is in the lands of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern that the point of landfall of the “Nord Stream-2” is located.
