The certification process for the Russian Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline is still ongoing. Next week, a decision will be made on the participation of the Ukrainian GTS Operator in this process.

“The decision (regarding the participation of the Ukrainian GTS Operator – Ed.) Is expected next week,” Makogon said in the comments to his publication.
In addition to the GTS operator, Naftogaz also submitted an application for participation in certification. Decisions on both applications are still pending.
Nord Stream 2 is a gas pipeline between Russia and Germany, which runs in the Baltic Sea. Ukraine opposes the launch of this gas pipeline, as it endangers the transit supplies of Russian gas to Europe through Ukrainian territory. The interruption of transit, as the authorities say, will not only cause economic damage, but also threaten the security of Ukraine.
