“Preliminary findings from the damage site investigation confirmed a 3 to 5 meter deep crater created by the man-made technology,” said the operating company. The craters were about 248 meters apart and the pipeline between them was broken, with fragments of the pipeline scattered over a radius of at least 250 meters.
Sweden and Denmark concluded that the gas leaks on Nord Stream 1 and 2 were caused by explosions, but did not disclose who was behind it. Meanwhile, on October 29, the Russian Defense Ministry said British Navy personnel had blown up Nord Stream 1 and 2.
