Marie Rabatel is autistic and a rape survivor. “All children have the right to be heard. Disabled children should not be forgotten, knowing they are five times more likely to be victimized! recalls Marie Rabatel, permanent member of the independent commission on incest and sexual violence against children.
“Any public policy must take into account the difficulties faced by the most vulnerable; if not, sooner or later, it will have to be reviewed, ”says the one who was decorated as a Chevalier of the Legion of Honor in 2021. A tool in sport His perseverance in the fight against violence does not stop there as this former athlete created an inclusive violence prevention tool with the French Paralympic and Sports Committee and the Ministry of Sports.
“It allows you to fight verbal, physical and sexual violence in the world of sport, whether you are an athlete or an athlete with a disability or not. He would like it to be translated into more languages to be a prevention tool for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
