Today, the Nord departmental media library presents the video game “Blacksad: Under the skin”, inspired by the excellent comic strip of the same name. Everything is there to enchant your senses!
New York, 1950s: sirens howl in the ill-fated streets, the curls of Detective John Blacksad’s cigarette escape between the slats of the blind. Sonia Dunn recounts: her father, owner of a boxing club is found hanged in the middle of the ring, while her foal, a boxer with a promising career, has mysteriously disappeared.
You will lead the investigation in a controlled New York atmosphere: respected historical references, neat decor, jazzy music. Your choices will guide the investigation, the clues are put at the service of writing.
And for good reason, produced in close collaboration with the authors Juan Díaz Canales and Juanjo Guarnido, the Blacksad game, published by Microïds, perfectly captures the atmosphere of the eponymous comic strip. The story is also located just after the second volume of the series.
For the best of them, video games can be almost total art: visual, sound, tactile and narrative. The Nord departmental media library has been offering video game boxes to partner libraries in its network since 2012.
