Noortje explains that she has to do the audition for two men who discuss what is wrong with her in her presence. And that is of course quite confrontational. “I was not warm enough and not pretty enough. They told me how I was talked about in meetings, what terms were used. The crazy thing is that it made me feel very uncomfortable and insecure, but I also just talked about me let it go.”
According to Noortje, it takes a while before she dares to indicate her limits. “Because I thought this was normal if you wanted to compete at that level.” The actress still finds it annoying how she was treated at the time. “I don’t know if I’m ever going to talk to those two men about it again. I don’t know if they have what it takes to make another switch on this, but I could tell them how annoying I found it to have them especially to be judged by my exterior.”
