Almost immediately after the publication of her book When I Saw You: My Life with Antonie in 2013, the film world drew Isa Hoes. Not strange. Her story, a loving life with fellow actor Antonie Kamerling, who decided to end his life in 2010 after an (to the outside world) invisible fight against depression, struck a nerve throughout the Netherlands. Hoes (53) still remembers the reactions well. People were in shock, because Antonie seemed so happy to the outside world and seemed to have everything going for it.
