A life without church? This was unimaginable for a long time and was even considered a sin. In 1970, almost the entire population was Christian, half Protestant and half Catholic. Since then, a profound change has taken place that has now reached a historic turning point: for the first time ever, people without religious affiliation are the largest group in Switzerland.
