The Minister of National Education, Technical Education and Vocational Training Kandia Camara has been reappointed for a second term as Chairman of the Board of the Karanta Foundation. She will preside over the destinies of the foundation for the next two years. This is one of the main decisions that sanctioned the 13th council of the foundation which was held by videoconference on December 16. The Foundation Council brings together the ministers in charge of non-formal education from the six member countries of the foundation. Namely Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Guinea, Mali, Niger and Senegal. Also took part in this session, the general administrator of the foundation, the Burkinabè Hourétou Diallo. The session made it possible to take stock of the past mandate and to address other questions of interest for the smooth running of the foundation. The Karanta Foundation was created in December 2000, in Dakar (Senegal). An international organization recognized by the United Nations, the foundation presents itself as a geostrategic alliance formed by these six West African countries with a view to addressing in a united and concerted manner the problem of literacy and non-formal education.- .
